Volunteering at Claire House is an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience, allowing you to meet friends, gain new skills and give something back to the community and your local children’s hospice.
There are opportunities for volunteering in all areas of Claire House; fundraising, retail and the hospice itself.
There are a few restrictions but no qualifications are needed and we welcome a huge range of ages, abilities and interests. All we ask is that you bring enthusiasm, passion and a smile.
Our volunteers are the life-blood of Claire House; the organisation simply wouldn’t function without them. Not only does Claire House benefit from our volunteers’ time and experience, we like to think our volunteers get a lot out of their time with us. Many join us after retirement to use the skills they have learnt while working. Others want to improve their CV or University application.
Whatever the reason and however you choose to volunteer, your time and efforts are greatly appreciated by everyone at Claire House.
