The North West is fortunate to have a number of wonderful children's hospices, which work tirelessly to support families from across the region. Claire House teamed up with childrens hospices Francis House in Manchester and Derian House in near Preston to create Children's Hospices North West.

This new charity has been supported all year by leading North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street. The company has taken parts in lots of exciting activities to raise money including Branbers' Charity Challange and a zip wire at Manchester United's Old Trafford.

Here, Northern Area Fundraising Manager for Claire House, Helen Carlson (far right), accepts a cheque on behalf of Children's Hospices North West for over £30,000.

Helen said: "My motto is 'Stand alone we fail, but together we're stronger' and this is a sentiment that rings true throughout the hospice movement. It's an honour to team up with Francis House and Derian House and I know everyone involved in this project is so grateful to the team at Brabners for all their support."
