Part Time Assistant Housekeeper

Salary:  £7.00 per hour    Hours: Part Time. 30 hrs per week which will include Saturday, Sunday and late night working until 7 p.m. on a rotating shift pattern.

Claire House Children’s Hospice is looking to recruit a part-time Assistant Housekeeper based in the hospice. This is a key role ensuring that the environment for children, young people, families, staff & visitors are cleaned efficiently and maintained to a high standard.

Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will need to have a flexible approach to ensure minimum disruption to the hospice. The position will particularly suit a reliable and organised team player who enjoys working within a busy and friendly environment and who is willing to embrace the Claire House values.

Attention to detail and previous hotel, clinical experience would be desirable however training will be provided for the right candidate.

Clinical Team Leader: £29,400-£32,400

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced children’s nurse to join Claire House as a Team Leader. We are looking for a highly motivated, inspirational nurse to support the Care Manager and work alongside the other team leaders in providing positive leadership and development of the Care Team.  Working closely with the Care Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the Hospice, demonstrating high standards of clinical care, effective management skills, including the management of change. You will provide line management for a team of care staff and case management for an identified caseload of children and young people. You will also have an identified role within Clinical Governance for the hospice.

Previous experience of working with children with complex health needs, of working in a Hospice environment and experience of palliative care and symptom management is essential. Proven managerial experience or ability to demonstrate leadership and organisational skills is required.

Further training in management or leadership is desirable, as well as a qualification or relevant training in palliative care

Additional payments are made for working regular weekends and on-call. There is also the option of remaining in the NHS superannuation scheme or joining the Claire House pension scheme, as well as an excellent training and development programme.
