Finance Manager - Full Time - Starting Salary from £29,950

Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing care and emotional support we help families smile again when life couldn’t get any tougher. We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our finance team as Finance Manager to continue to develop our financial processes and reporting.

The role will be responsible for the provision of high quality management information and the right individual will need excellent communication skills and an ability to work with people at all levels. They will have a good understanding of financial systems and preferably have experience of working for a charity or not for profit organisation.

This role will report to the Head of Finance, manage a small team, and be responsible for a wide range of financial duties including:

·       Managing the financial reporting systems

·       Producing monthly management accounts

·       Overseeing payroll

·       Performing bank reconciliations

·       Monitoring budgets and liaising with budget holders


This role is subject to a full DBS check (formerly known as CRB)

Sunday Shop Manager Hoole - £6.90 per hour (6 hours) Temp 6 month contract

As one of our Sunday Shop Managers you will have a direct influence on the sales and profit of the shop. You will assist the manager with the training and managing of volunteers; as well as working with donated and new stock. The successful candidate will have previous supervisory retail experience along with working within the clothing sector.

The successful candidate may be required to work other times in their shop to cover holidays or sickness so a flexible approach would be desirable.
