Registration opens 9:30am – race starts 11am

2009 brought about the second Santa’s on the Run event held in Birkenhead Park. A crisp, sunny morning dawned and slowly but surely the Claire House Santa’s began to arrive, some ready in their own suits and some collecting their suits from the registration desk.

After a short warm up, held by the girls from Anamal Dance School, based in Hoylake, the Santa’s lined up under starters orders and were off!

Wallasey Cadets and Birkenhead Park Friends volunteers were on route to guide the runners and cheer them along, whilst Claire House staff raced (via a short cut!) to the Birkenhead Park Pavilion to greet the runners at the finish line with bottled water and hearty congratulations.

So…with the success of 2009 in mind, what we’d really LOVE to do is increase awareness of the run in 2010 and get more people along to run for us.

The run is for people of all ages, from 2 – 102, we’re more than happy for you to walk the route and take in the scenery if you’d prefer!
